Kimberly Rath, PharmD, is a pharmacist and medical writer based in Virginia. She has extensive clinical experience in long-term care, managed care, and medication therapy management (MTM). Kim has made geriatrics and aging her passion and specialty. Her goal is not just to simplify complex health topics but to make them engaging and accessible to everyone.
As a medical writer, Kim specializes in drug content creation. Her articles and drug monographs have been featured on leading platforms such as Medical News Today and WebMD. In addition, she owns WriteWell, a freelance health writing business, where she creates educational materials for both patients and providers and contributes weekly news articles to the American Journal of Managed Care.
In her previous role at Elevance Health, Kim played a pivotal role in the MTM program for Medicare Part D. Her responsibilities included conducting comprehensive medication reviews, identifying potential medication-related concerns, and providing recommendations to prescribing physicians.
