Mental Health Therapist

I am honored to share the knowledge I have learned and will continue to use words to help people heal and find their true selves through culturally sensitive and creative means.

About

Nadia Matta received her Master of Social Work degree from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a 4.0 GPA. During her first semester, she became one of 60 students nationally to receive a full scholarship from the Obama administration for students learning clinical social work.

Her graduate school internship and first post-graduate job was working with the Native American community in Detroit, where she worked with clients with mental, behavioral, and substance abuse issues. She was trained in traditional as well as indigenous methods of healing.

Nadia currently works in a group practice and treats clients with a variety of mental and behavioral health issues. She works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families to provide culture and trauma-informed services.

Outside of her clinical practice, she is a creative and professional writer as well as a classical pianist.
